Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is located in the northeast of Central Asia. From the west it borders on Uzbekistan (the length of the border is 1099 km), in the north with Kazakhstan (1051 km), in the south with Tajikistan (870 km) and China (858 km). The total length of the borders of Kyrgyzstan is 3878 km. In the south-west of the country there is the Pamir-Alai ridge, in the north-east - the Tien Shan with the highest Peak Pobeda (7439 m).

High-mountain valleys separated by mountain ranges: in the north - Chuyskaya and Talasskaya, in the southwest - Fergana, in the south - Alai. Kyrgyzstan is a mountainous country with a wide variety of landscapes, flora and fauna.

The area of the territory of Kyrgyzstan: 198.500 square kilometers, 94% - mountains, 6% - plain, 70% - high mountains, 23% - others Climate: Temperature: January - from -4 to -14 degrees, July - from +12 to +30 degrees, the climate is continental. There are about 1923 lakes in Kyrgyzstan / Kirghizia, the total area of water space is 6836 sq. Km. The largest river is Naryn, the largest lake is Issyk-Kul.

Climate: hot dry summers, rather cold winters (in the mountains), a big contrast between night and day, hotter in the Fergana Valley, the average temperature in July in Bishkek is 35-40 degrees. January temperature is -10-15 degrees, (in the valleys it is warmer, in the mountains above -28 degrees Celsius). There is a lot of snow in the mountains, especially in the western part of the country - 1500 mm. per year, in the Tien Shan region - 200-400 mm.

Flora: A huge variety of vegetation in Kyrgyzstan extends up to an altitude of 4500m. Shrubs of saxaul in the desert replace forests and shrubs in the valleys and at the foot of the hills. In the mountains above 2500m, the forests of the blue Tien Shan spruce begin. Wild alpine meadows with colorful grasses and vibrant flowers. Here you can see the fields of edelweiss. And much higher are swampy mosses and lichens with sparse shrubs and dwarf flowers.

Fauna: You have a wonderful opportunity to meet various species of the animal world: from small rodents and birds to large inhabitants - vultures, mountain goats, in uninhabited places high in the mountains - a snow leopard - the symbol of Kyrgyzstan.
